The London Lightning lost a close 100-98 game to the Niagara River Lions on Friday.
The River Lions were able to get a 36-28 lead over the Lightning in the first quarter, but London was able bridge the gap to make it 49-47 for Niagara going into halftime. London took the lead in the third but the River Lions were quick to tie things up at 80-80 going into the fourth. It was a back and forth final quarter, but Niagara took the 100-98 lead with 5.8 seconds left on the clock, and held on to win the game.
Ryan Anderson led the Lightning with a game high 26 points, while Akeem Wright had 17 points and five rebounds.
The Lightning will return to the court on March 19 to take on the Halifax Hurricanes at 7pm.
