It appears truck thieves in London have two favourite targets.
London police say analytical software detected an increase in thefts of GMC Sierra and Chevrolet Silverado pickup trucks in 2015. A total of 205 of these trucks were stolent in 2015, compared to 76 in 2014.
Police say most were older models, between 1999 and 2007, and most were taken in the south end of the city. While arrests were made in some of the thefts, police say the problem continues.
They are advising vehicle owners to take extra care to prevent having their vehicle stolen.
