London police say one person is in critical condition in hospital after a three-vehicle collision on Highbury Ave., south of Commissioners Rd. on Wednesday.
Four other people were hurt in the crash, which happened just after noon and involved a pickup truck, a van, and a Voyageur bus. It caused the bus to roll into the ditch.
"There is a mini van with some rear-end damage, there is a pickup truck with extensive front end damage, there is also a Voyageur bus on its side in the ditch with extensive damage to both the front and rear ends," says Constable Ken Steeves.
Police say five people in the bus were taken to hospital. There was one person in the pickup truck and two in the van. They were all unhurt.
The crash forced police to close the northbound lanes of Highbury Ave. between Hwy. 401 and Commissioners Rd. The road was reopened just before 6pm.
The cause of the collision is still under investigation.
