A fire in an Adelaide St. apartment on Saturday has led to the seizure of guns and drugs as well as charges against a London man.
Police and fire crews were called to the fourth floor apartment at 1134 Adelaide St. North around 1pm Saturday. When they arrived, they found a man suffering from multiple burns. He was taken to hospital for treatment.
After an investigation, police searched the apartment and found 254g of marijuana bud, 1863g of marijuana leaf, 15 vials of cannabis resin, and 30 cans of butane. They also seized a handgun, a rifle, and several rounds of ammunition.
Brian Calvert, 53, of London faces several firearm and drug charges.
