Mayor's Honour List Released

For the second time since he became mayor, Matt Brown has named a group of Londoners to the Mayor's Honour List.

The list for 2016 was released on Wednesday. Eleven people were named to the list. Nominations are handled through the City of London’s Advisory Committees and honourees will be recognized at the first city council meeting of 2016.

This year’s recipients are:

  • Gary Brown (Environment)
  • Charles and Carolyn Innis (Humanitarianism)
  • Reta van Every (Diversity and Race Relations)
  • Glen Curnoe (Heritage)
  • Jens Stickling (Housing)
  • Bonnie Quesnel (Persons with Disabilities)
  • Paul Seale (Safety and Crime)
  • Holly Painter (Arts)
  • Tessa Virtue and Scott Moir (Sports)
The Mayor’s Honour List began in 1976 to recognize contributions to the arts and has grown over the years to include new categories.
