The London Lightning took down the Windsor Express 97-87 in the final preseason game for both teams.
On Saturday, the Lightning took a 25-21 lead in the first quarter, and extended it to 49-41 at halftime. Windsor gained some ground in the third frame, but London was able to enter the fourth quarter with a 14 point advantage. In the final frame, the Express still couldn't catch up, remaining ten points behind to give the Lightning the win.
Chad Posthumus and rookie Stephen Maxwell both led London with 19 points.
The Lightning take on the Niagara River Lions at 7pm next Saturday for their home opener. And then at 7:30pm, the Express will play their home opener against Orangeville A's.
