Charges Laid Following Guns And Drugs Seizure

London Police Service and the RCMP have laid several charges against two Londoners following the seizure of drugs, guns, and cash from a Southdale Rd. E residence.

On Monday police raided a home and seized:

- Ruger 9mm P94 DAO semi-automatic handgun with loaded ammunition clip containing four rounds - 300 extra rounds of 9mm ammunition - Cocaine (25 g) - $2,500 - Marijuana (83 g) - $830 - $1,195 cash

Clifton Smith and Trisha Hendricks, both 25, have been charged with the following Criminal Code of Canada offences:

- Possession of a loaded regulated firearm - Two counts of careless storage of a firearm - Two counts of unauthorized possession of a prohibited or restricted weapon - Possession of a firearm, prohibited or restricted weapon - Unauthorized possession of a prohibited or restricted firearm

They have also been charged with possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking, and possession of a Schedule II substance for the purpose of trafficking.

Clifton Smith is also charged with two counts of failing to comply with the conditions of an undertaking.

Smith remains in custody with a court date set for Thursday. Hendricks has been released from custody with a court date of January 22, 2015.
