Whether they drive a police cruiser, fire truck or ambulance, London's emergency service workers all have a shared goal this Christmas.
They want every child in the city to have a gift to unwrap on Christmas morning.
To help make that happen, emergency workers have joined forces for the Christmas Lights & Sirens Toy Drive. It will be taking place at Fire Station 1 at 400 Horton St. in downtown London on Saturday from 11am to 4pm.
First responders are asking residents to help stuff their emergency vehicles by donating new, unwrapped toys or clothing for children and families. All donations will then be delivered to LIFE*SPIN to help support children, adults & seniors living in poverty in London.
The toy drive offers little boys and girls a chance to meet police officers, firefighters and paramedics face-to-face. Santa Claus will also be stopping by so kids can have their picture taken with him.
This is the first time London's emergency workers have combined their efforts into one massive Christmas toy drive.
