A 39-year-old landscaper has been found guilty of killing his uncle.
The London Free Press reports Shane Wood was found guilty of first degree murder, arson, and committing an indignity to a body on Monday night, roughly six hours after the jury began its deliberations.
Wood was charged with murder in October of 2013 after the body of 50-year-0ld Paul Curry was found in his Manitoba St. home on September 16, 2013.
Curry ran a landscape company called A-Shamrock Landscape and Tree Services. He had been stabbed and beaten to death before Wood started the fire.
Wood will be sentenced December 8. He faces an automatic life sentence with no chance of parole for 25 years.
