The city is hosting a public meeting to go over the plans for the former McCormick's building on Dundas St. The vacant factory has been an issue in Old East Village since 2008, when the owner walked away from the building. Sierra Construction bought it from the city six years later for $1. The current proposal shows plans for a mixed use site; with residential, commercial, institutional and office spaces. Tonight's meeting will take place at the Boyle Memorial Community Centre from 7-9pm. Officials will review the proposal in detail, explain the development process and take feedback from residents.
