An 83-year-old Huron East woman was airlifted to a London hospital with major injuries after a serious two-vehicle crash west of Zurich Wednesday afternoon.

The collision happened at the intersection of Bronson Line and Zurich-Hensall Road just after 5pm.

Huron County OPP says a Pontiac Montana entered the intersection from Bronson Rd. and collided with a westbound Chevrolet Silverado.

The 83-year-old behind the Montana was transported to a local hospital and later airlifted to London. The 51-year-old Bluewater man driving the Silverado sustained minor injuries.

Traffic on Bronson Line is controlled by stop signs.
