Prime Minister Stephen Harper faced more questions about the senate scandal as he met with party supporters and business stakeholders in London.
Harper made a campaign stop at the Lamplighter Inn on Wednesday morning and was met by protesters outside the building.
Inside the ballroom, it was a sea of blue as he focused on the economy and fiscal responsibility.
Long time conservative supporter Doug Daye tells BlackburnNews.com the senate scandal and Senator Mike Duffy should not be a topic of discussion during this election.
"I think it's being overdone. Let the courts handle it and they'll figure it out from there," notes Daye. "To ask four of five questions in a row seems ludicrous."
As the trial of Senator Mike Duffy continues in Ottawa, Harper has faced constant questions about the Senate scandal while campaigning across the country. Duffy faces 31 charges of bribery, fraud and breach of trust in connection to his Senate expenses.
Harper's campaign team remains tight lipped on which riding he will visit next.
Recent polls show it is a close contest between the Liberals, NDP and Conservatives.
