St. Thomas Man Wanted On Weapons, Assault Charges Arrested

Officers in St. Thomas say a man who allegedly tried to attack his friend with a knife has now been arrested.

Investigators say a dispute between two friends turned ugly Sunday night when one of them pulled out a knife and began lunging at the other. No one was seriously hurt, the victim escaped and called 9-1-1.

Jeremy Porter, 29, of St. Thomas was wanted for assault with a weapon, possession of a dangerous weapon, and four counts of breach of probation.

Police announced he had been taken in to custody just before 4pm on Monday.
