Last month broke the record for the best ever June in the history of the London and St. Thomas Association of Realtors.
A total of 1,109 homes sold in June 2015, surpassing the old record of 1,011 homes set in June 2006.
Detached homes led the way (892) followed by condos (217). Sales were up 13% compared to 2014.
In a statement posted on the LSTAR website, President Carl Vandergoot explains the current market is balanced and dynamic.
“Job growth, stable mortgage rates and affordable home prices have all played a part in making this market so strong."
As of June 30, the average price for a detached home was $282,408, up 4.4%.
