Police Investigating Suspicious Death

London police have laid a minor charge as they continue to investigate a death on Adelaide St. N.

Around 12:35 Tuesday morning a man was found in medical distress outside a building at 169 Adelaide St. N.

He was taken to the London Health Sciences Centre and pronounced dead.

A 29-year-old man was arrested at the scene and remains in custody. Police say he and the man were partners, but the 29-year-old was under a court order prohibiting him from contacting the deceased. He is charged with one count of breaching a recognizance.

Police say there was an altercation involving the two men, but circumstances leading to the death of the 49-year-old male are still being investigated by the Coroner's Officer, the Ontario Forensic Pathology Service, and the London Police Service.

It's expected their investigation will take some time.
