London Majors Hosting Salvation Army Day

The London Majors are hosting Salvation Army Day on Friday, with half of ticket proceeds going towards the organization's community services and supports. This is the first time the team and the Salvation Army have partnered for the event. "We've been in the London Community itself since 1882 ... Certainly doing it at Labatt Park, the oldest continuously operated baseball grounds in the world, there will be a lot of history going on there Friday evening," says Salvation Army Spokesperson Perron Goodyear. "One of the reasons we're doing it is to celebrate. This year the Salvation Army is celebrating our 150th anniversary internationally." The Majors take on the Kitchener Panthers. The first pitch is at 7:30pm.
