Funding Denied For My Sisters' Place

My Sisters' Place, a London shelter for homeless women, will not receive city funding to enable it to rehire a Housing Stability Worker and a Recreation Worker.

The organization's administrators have been meeting with city officials and but now have their final decision.

On its website, My Sisters' Place CEO Don Seymour says they're disappointed but look forward to working with the city to, "identify stable funding opportunities for My Sisters’ Place. There was considerable willingness to continue to work together to support stability for this valuable program for women who are experiencing homelessness."

My Sisters' Place receives 50% less funding from the City of London than it did when it opened its doors a decade ago. Their next fundraising event is the Sisters Brunch, Sunday May 3 at The Aeolian Hall.
