Fanshawe Rates High Among International Students

Fanshawe College has landed the world's number two spot for international student satisfaction.

According to results from the United Kingdom based firm i-graduate International Insight, Fanshawe ranks second in the world and first among Ontario colleges for student satisfaction.

"Fanshawe works really hard to ensure our international students have a wonderful experience while studying at the college and living in the city of London," says Brianna Dos Santos, Fanshawe's International Projects and Exchange co-ordinator.

The 2014 i-graduate International Student Barometer (ISB) survey also states Fanshawe took the world's number one spot in the learning category with an overall satisfaction rate of 93.5%.

The survey asks international students to rank their colleges in various specific categories related to learning, support services, college life and other key areas.

The improvement of the Fanshawe Cares Program, a project aimed at helping new arrivals and easing the transition to a Canadian lifestyle, helped the college significantly increase its "arrival" category this year. Students gave feedback on the school's welcome and orientation, accommodation, ability to make Canadian friends, and availability of social activities.

The 2014 survey drew responses from 183 institutions worldwide. At Fanshawe, 331 students responded.
