Two Clinton residents were treated in hospital last evening following a house fire.
The two adults noticed the fire just after 7:30pm in their home on Rattenbury St. They were able to get out without any serious injuries, but were taken to hospital for treatment of smoke inhalation and later released.
It took several hours for Central Huron firefighters to bring the blaze under control.
The exact cause remains under investigation, but it is believed to be accidental in nature. There has been no dollar estimate placed on the damage to the house.
A section of Rattenbury St. re-opened to regular traffic this morning.
There is a GoFundMe account set up to take donations for the couple.
