Update: Driver Critical After Crash

Middlesex OPP have released the names of the men involved in a head-on crash in Parkhill on Wednesday afternoon.

At around 12:58pm, a Dodge pickup truck traveling south on Grand Bend Rd. crossed into the northbound lanes, colliding head-on with a Ford pickup truck that was towing a trailer loaded with wood.

The 44-year-old male driver of the Dodge pickup, Richard Want of Lambton Shores, had to be extricated from the vehicle and was taken to hospital with life-threatening injuries. He is currently listed in critical condition.

The driver of the Ford truck, 21-year-old Kevin Kustermans of North Middlesex, was treated at the scene for non-life threatening injuries.

The OPP Technical Traffic Collision Investigators are still looking into what may have caused the collision.
