The Chatham Maroons were able to get three out of a possible four points over the weekend.
The first game happened in Brantford on Saturday, with the Maroons squeaking out a 3-2 win against the winless Titans.
Trevor Zanutto opened the scoring in the first period with his ninth goal of the season. Getting the only assist was Drew Ferenc.
Kaleb Frank tied the game later in the period, before Kaden Sienko would give the Maroons the lead back with his first career Greater Ontario Hockey League (GOHL) goal.
Frank once again tied the game for Brantford in the second period. However, Ian Lachance would score his third goal from Carter Chadwick a few minutes later for the Maroons.
The team had 47 shots in the win, while Samuel DiBlasi made 27 saves.
The Maroons were back home on Sunday for a matchup against the Komoka Kings.
The two teams combined for nearly 100 shots, with Komoka coming out on top 5-4 in a shootout.
Josh Harding opened the scoring for the Maroons in the first period with his first of the season. Grant Symons and Zanutto had the assists.
Lucas Van Steensel would tie the game late in the period.
Zanutto would score his GOHL leading 10th goal in the second period from Jaxon Priddle and Carter Kucher.
Priddle later added his fourth goal from Sienko, before Ewan McChesney scored his fifth of the season from Zanutto and Priddle to give the Maroons a three-goal lead.
Komoka got within two goals before the second intermission after Nathaniel Adams found the back of the net.
The third period saw two goals from Komoka, the first from Colsen Joyce and the second from Nolan Egelton.
Neither team would score in overtime, meaning a shootout would be needed to decide a winner. The only goal came from Komoka's Adams, as Max Skinner, Zanutto, and Priddle all missed for the Maroons.
DiBlasi would make 39 saves in the loss.
The Maroons are back in action on Thursday at home against the Waterloo Siskins. Puck drop at the Chatham Memorial Arena is set for 7 p.m.
