CK Barnstormers bring back 2024's offensive player of the year

The Chatham-Kent Barnstormers are bringing back one of the best bats in all of the Intercounty Baseball League (IBL).

Spencer Marcus has re-signed with the team, looking to continue his performance from 2024.

In 37 games, he hit five home runs, had 26 Runs Batted In (RBI), and added nine steals. His .365 batting average was second in the entire IBL, while his on base percentage of .427 and slugging percentage of .522 were tops on the Barnstormers.

Marcus' performance earned him the 2024 Boomer Harding Award, given to the team's best offensive player.

His signing comes nearly two weeks after the team re-signed Sam McKinlay, Anthony Polowick, Eric Pettipiece, Trent Sillett, and Spencer Morin.

The Barnstormers were able to bring back Aden Ryan, Braxton Haggith, and Brock Whitson earlier in the offseason.
