Seventh-ranked Chatham Wildcats take home silver at Ontario Cup

Hard work and a strong effort paid off for the Chatham Wildcats Major Atom Boys team at the Ontario Cup D5 Finals in Niagara Falls.

The team, which was ranked 7th out of eight teams in their division, managed to go undefeated in pool play this past weekend with their only loss coming in the gold medal game.

"The coaches are incredibly proud of the boys and all their hard work and determination throughout the season," said a release from the team. "Every game has a victory or defeat. These boys stuck together through them all. Overall, their Silver Medal is a true testament to a great team effort!"

The team was coached by Tom Grochmal and Skylar Baylis and supported by the Optimist Club of Chatham, Mike Haddy RBC Wealth Management, Mike Pretty MP Roofing, Jeremy Shadd SHADD Roofing, Nate Lucyk IG Wealth Management, Ian Cartright Chatham Mazda, and Stuart Simpson Simpson Farm Services.
