The Dresden Kings shutout the Lakeshore Canadiens 3-0 in Game 1 on Tuesday.
Elijah Duquette, Lucas Spence and Greg Hay scored the three goals for Dresden.
The two teams will face off in Game 2 on Wednesday at 7:30 p.m.

The Amherstburg Admirals fell 3-2 to the Essex 73's following double overtime in Game 1 on Tuesday.
Luke Gecse scored the game-winner in the second overtime frame, and Michael Ruttinger scored the other two goals during regular play.
Cory Burns and Caleb Paquette scored the two goals for Amherstburg.
The 73's will battle the Admirals in Game 2 on Thursday. The puck drops at 7 p.m. in Amherstburg.
