Jr. hockey wrap-up – January 11, 2019

The Leamington Flyers doubled the St. Marys Lincolns 4-2 on Friday to earn their fourth straight win.

Thomas Michaud, Ryan Gagnier, Levi Tetrault and Wyatt O'Neil each scored a goal for Leamington.

The Flyers return home on January 17 to take on the LaSalle Vipers at 7:10 p.m.

The LaSalle Vipers topped the St. Thomas Stars 5-2.

Stephane Crevier led LaSalle with two goals, while Zane Dalpe, Evan Ferguson and Kory Silverio all scored once.

The Vipers will take on the Chatham Maroons next on Wednesday. The puck drops at 7 p.m. in LaSalle.

And in Junior C hockey, the Lakeshore Canadiens shutout the Petrolia Flyers 5-0.

Nathan Skulley, Blake Bain, Dylan Bradley, Matt Smith and Andrew Thoms all scored one goal for Lakeshore.

The Canadiens are on home ice on January 18 to take on the Wallaceburg Lakers at 7 p.m.

The Dresden Kings hammered the Blenheim Blades 8-3.

Elijah Duquette scored twice for Dresden, while Greg Hay, Brendan Ritchie, Kenny Chisholm, Nolen Vandenboorn, Eric Carter and TJ Saunby all scored once.

Drew Marlatt led Blenheim with two goals and Will Tetzlaff scored one.

The Blades are on the road on Saturday to take on the Wheatley Sharks at 5 p.m. And then  on January 18, the Kings are at home to battle the Petrolia Flyers at 7:30 p.m.

Nine young volunteers aged 11 to 17 spent three days exploring and protecting the Lake Huron coastline during the Coastal Conservation Youth Corps' inaugural program in Grand Bend from July 21 to 23.
