The Windsor Spitfires take on the OHL's top team in Erie Friday night.
Coming off five straight wins, the last three of which have been shutouts, the Spits are now just two points back of the Otters in the standings.
Associate Coach Trevor Letowski says, "[Erie] will be missing a few of their key players [to the World Junior Hockey Championship], but it's a very well coached team in Erie and they'll be very well prepared."
"I'm sure they're thinking the same thing as us, as far as this being a big game," he adds.
Letowski credits contributions from all four of the Spitfires' lines for helping the team continue to win, even though they've been missing key players of their own due to injuries.
Windsor plays its last game before the holiday break tomorrow night in Niagara. It'll then have just one more road game to close out its 13-game trip on December 28 before returning to play at the WFCU Centre on December 29 versus Kitchener.
