Spits Game Still On, Parking The Issue

Parking at the WFCU Centre will be more of a challenge for Thursday night's Spitfires game against Sault Ste. Marie, because of water pooling in the parking lot.

The team says there will be a limited amount of spots available.

The city is working with the team to prepare for tonight's hockey game. Fans heading to the game are encouraged to take Tecumseh Rd. E to Clover Ave. and then onto McHugh St. to get to the arena.

The Transit Windsor shuttle from Tecumseh Mall, The Spitfire Pub and Johnny Shotz is also an option.

Parts of McHugh St. and Lauzon Rd. are also closed due to flooding.

Puck-drop is set for 7:05pm.

Youth volunteers practice coastal conservation

Nine young volunteers aged 11 to 17 spent three days exploring and protecting the Lake Huron coastline during the Coastal Conservation Youth Corps' inaugural program in Grand Bend from July 21 to 23.
