The Chatham Maroons fell 7-1 to the Waterloo Siskins on Sunday for their first loss of the regular season.
The Maroons drew first blood with a goal 2:37 into the first period, but the Siskins tied things up at 1-1 going into the second. Waterloo scored two unanswered goals in the second frame and another four in the third to beat the Maroons with a six point advantage.
Forward Austin Thompson scored the only goal for Chatham.
The Maroons are back on the ice on September 18 at 7pm to take on the Sarnia Legionnaires at home.
