Spitfires Named To Canadian Roster

Three Windsor Spitfires will represent Canada at the IIHF World Under-18 Men's Hockey Championship this month.

Defenceman Logan Stanley, Centre Gabe Vilardi and Goalie Michael DiPietro are in Winnipeg right now, as exhibition play gets started next week in North Dakota.

In Stanley's second season with the Spits, the 6' 7'' defenceman tallied five goals and 12 assists in 64 games.

Vilardi put up 17 goals and 21 assists in 62 games with Windsor.

DiPietro finished the 2015-16 regular season, his first in the OHL as a 16-year-old, with a record of 16-8-1-1, two shutouts, a goals against average of 2.45 and save percentage of 0.912.
