Possible Toronto-Detroit Outdoor Rematch

The Toronto Maple Leafs and Detroit Red Wings could be back on an outdoor rink sooner rather than later.

During the intermission show on CBC's Hockey Night In Canada Saturday, Hockey Insider Elliotte Friedman spoke about possible plans for another Leafs - Red Wings outdoor game at the start of 2017.

At around 6:30pm Saturday, Friedman also sent out this tweet.

The Detroit Red Wings and Toronto Maple Leafs last played outdoors during the 2014 Winter Classic, where Toronto beat Detroit 3-2 in a shootout at Michigan Stadium.
