The Lakeshore Canadiens want to end the Essex 73's winning streak at 13 games, as they square off tonight at the Atlas Tube Centre.
GM Mark Seguin says they're also jostling for playoff position right now.
"There's three or four teams that are bunched up (in the standings), so we're trying to win as many games and get as high as we can in the standings to get home ice in the first round. So some points tonight would be very big."
Lakeshore had won five straight before losing 3-2 to Blenheim on Sunday.
Essex has already clinched first place in the GLJCHL.
