Greater Ontario Junior Hockey League action saw the LaSalle Vipers skate to a 4-1 win over the Sarnia Legionnaires on Wednesday night.
Paolo Battisti made 31 saves for the win while Tyler Russell notched two goals, including the game winner, adding two assists and Manny Sivlerio had a three point night as the two forwards led the way for the Vipers.
In Great Lakes Junior C Hockey League play, the Wheatley Omstead Sharks doubled up on the Wallaceburg Lakers 4-2.
The Sharks peppered Lakers netminder Derion Ducedre with 40 shots, proving to be an effective strategy in fighting back against the Lakers 2-1 first period lead.
Eric Prudence tied the game in what was a penalty-filled second period before Matt Tyler at 2:09 and Brady Hillock at 19:23 sealed the game away for the Sharks, both getting helpers from Cole Butler.
