The Sharks dropped their second game of the season, falling 9-1 to the Essex 73's.
Michael Vieira had two goals and an assist as the 73's improve to 2-0. Brett Bowman scored the Sharks lone goal.
Essex is back in action tonight when they host Mooretown. Wheatley is off until Sunday when they head to Blenheim to take on the Blades.
