Carleton Leads Team Canada

Chatham's Bridget Carleton and Canada's Junior Women's National Basketball Team came up just short against Belgium at the FIBA U19 Championship.

Canada lost 67-52 to Belgium. After a close first half, Canada was outscored 37-18 by the Belgian squad in the second half.

The 18-year-old led Canada with 10 points and four rebounds in Russia.

The loss drops the Canadians to 1-2 in group play. Canada will now face Serbia in the first game of the playoff round Wednesday at 11am EST.
