Hockey Players Head To Europe

A pair of 10-year-old hockey players from Chatham-Kent are headed to Europe this summer.

Declan Waddick and Rorey Elson are playing in the 2015 Warrior Elite - European Cup Tournament.

"We're going to Germany and Czech Republic in Europe," says Elson. "We're going to be staying for nine days."

"Three nights in Germany, and five days in Czech Republic," adds Waddick.

The pair were picked after attending a draft event in Brantford earlier this year.

"We had to go to a draft day and we had to get drafted to a team and we both got picked to the Gold Team that's going to Europe," says Elson.

They'll play against teams from Sweden, Finland, Norway, Russia and Slovakia between July 24 and August 2nd.
