Pronovost Passes Away

The Windsor Spitfires are mourning the loss of Marcel Pronovost, who passed away today at 84.

The defenceman played for the Spits in 1947-48.

After that, the Quebec-native spent 20 years in the NHL with the Detroit Red Wings and Toronto Maple Leafs.

Pronovost enjoyed a brief NHL coaching career in Buffalo and Detroit before joining the Spitfires as head coach for the 1981-82 and 1982-83 seasons.
