A Chatham man has been charged for allegedly grabbing a police officer's firearm.
Shortly after 9 p.m. on Wednesday, Chatham-Kent (CK) police were told of a suspicious person entering private properties around Knight Street in Wallaceburg.
When officers arrived, they reportedly found a man in the front yard of a home on Old Glass Road.
According to police, the man grabbed one of the officers' firearms while they were speaking.
He was eventually subdued and arrested.
He's since been charged with disarming a peace officer, resisting a peace officer, and failing to comply with a probation order.
He remains in police custody awaiting a bail hearing.
