Chatham-Kent police have arrested a 25-year-old man following a stabbing at a Chatham home.
Police said officers were called to a home on Thames Street just before 11a.m. on February 25, and when they arrived a man was found with multiple stab wounds to his legs.
Investigators determined that the victim was visiting the home and was sleeping in a bedroom when the suspect showed up and attacked him.
According to police, the man was already armed with an edged weapon and stabbed the victim three times before leaving in a cab.
The victim was taken to hospital for medical treatment.
The suspect was found and arrested on Monday. He has been charged with aggravated assault and failing to comply with probation order. The Tilbury man is being held in police custody pending a bail hearing.
