Assault Arrest

Assault and death threat charges have been laid against a 70-year-old Blenheim man following a dispute.

Chatham-Kent police alleged the suspect assaulted another man during a dispute on Saturday at a home on Stanley Street in Blenheim and previously threatened to harm the victim, who feared for his safety.

Impaired Charge

Crashing into a snowbank has led to charges against a 25-year-old man from London.

Chatham-Kent police alleged the driver lost control of the vehicle and got it stuck in a snowbank on Colborne Street in Chatham on Friday.

Police said officers noticed the accused smelled of alcohol and displayed signs of impairment.

He was charged with drunk driving and refusing to comply with a demand for a breath test.

According to police, he was also taken to the hospital for additional medical assistance and was released unconditionally.

Dine and Dash Arrest

Chatham-Kent police have charged a man with trespassing after receiving a call from a restaurant in Chatham about an unwanted person.

Police alleged the suspect attended the restaurant on Grand Avenue West in Chatham multiple times but failed to pay for meals.
