Single Vehicle Collisions
Chatham-Kent police have charged two people following separate single-vehicle collisions.
The first happened around 9 a.m. on Friday, with officers being called to Queens Line and McDougall Line in Tilbury.
When officers arrived, they found a vehicle that had left the roadway and rolled several times into a field.
The driver, a 39-year-old woman from Tilbury, suffered non-life-threatening injuries and was taken to a nearby hospital.
While investigating the collision, police discovered that the driver had a suspended driver's licence. She also reportedly failed two sobriety tests.
She's since been charged with driving while impaired and driving while suspended.
The second collision happened Saturday evening on Bear Creek Road near Wabash.
It's reported that a vehicle left the road and crashed into a ditch.
The driver, a 22-year-old man from Thamesville, suffered non-life-threatening injuries. He was transported to a nearby hospital for further care.
The man provided two breath samples, but failed both. He's since been charged with impaired driving.
Stunt Driving
CK police have charged two people for allegedly stunt driving in a Chatham parking lot.
The reported incident happened Sunday morning on Grand Avenue West.
When officers arrived, they saw two vehicles driving extremely fast in the parking lot.
Both vehicles reportedly left the parking lot, but were later seen driving above the speed limit in a school zone.
The drivers, a 39-year-old woman from Wallaceburg and a 33-year-old man from Ridgetown, were each charged.
Counterfeit Money
CK police have charged a 50-year-old man from Blenheim for allegedly using counterfeit money.
The cash was reportedly used at a store in Blenheim on September 12.
Through its investigation, police were able to identify the man who used it and issued an arrest warrant.
The man eventually found Sunday morning.
He's since been charged with uttering counterfeit money and possession of counterfeit money.
