Serious crash in CK injures four, including a four-month-old baby

A serious crash southeast of Chatham has sent four people, including a four-month-old baby, to the hospital.

Chatham-Kent police said the single-vehicle collision happened on Thursday shortly after 12 p.m. on Horton Line at Lagoon Road just outside of Chatham.

Police said a 33-year-old Chatham woman was driving the vehicle with three passengers: a five-year-old girl, a three-year-old girl, and a four-month-old baby boy. Their injuries ranged from minor to serious.

According to police, the two injured girls were transported to Chatham-Kent Health Alliance and then transferred to London Health Science Centre, while the driver and the baby were transported to Chatham-Kent Health Alliance, where they remain under care. Police added that all victims are currently in stable condition.

The road remained closed for several hours and the investigation continues.
