CK's second Jordan’s Run the Runway sees strong results

Around $11,000 was raised during Chatham-Kent's (CK) second Jordan’s Run the Runway.

Last Friday, several people visited the CK Municipal Airport to run, walk, and even roll for 5 km to raise funds for the YMCA of Chatham-Kent.

The fundraiser has been taking place for multiple years in CK, London, Sarnia, and St. Thomas in honour of Jordan Strickland, who passed away in 2014. The 27-year-old was a strong supporter of the YMCA and its programs.

"Whether you ran, walked, rolled, poled, donated, or cheered us on, in person or virtually, you played a vital role in creating a vibrant and uplifting experience," said a release from YMCA of Chatham-Kent.

Jordan's memory has helped raise around $1.6 million through different fundraisers across southwestern Ontario.
