St. Clair College athletic events now cashless

If you want to cheer on any St. Clair College athletic teams this year, you'll need to make sure you bring your credit or debit card.

The school's athletic department confirmed via its Facebook page that, effective immediately, all Saints athletic events and venues will be cashless.

"Saints Athletics venues and events will be cashless for the 2025-26 Varsity season," read the Facebook post. "Only card and contactless payments will be accepted."

The policy affects only varsity athletic events and apparel purchased at the Saints Store. Students still access athletic events for free.

St. Clair College spokesman Rich Garton told WindsorNewsToday.ca that cash is still accepted at the Zekelman Tennis Centre, at the Campus Bookstore, and food service vendors. The Registrar's Office has been cashless since 2020.

With fall classes beginning soon, parking at the main South Windsor campus is also cashless.

Orientation for incoming students takes place next week at the South Windsor, Downtown Windsor, and Chatham campuses.

The fall semester begins on all campuses on Tuesday, September 2.
