Man arrested for allegedly uttering threats
Chatham-Kent police have arrested a 21-year-old man from Tilbury for allegedly uttering threats.
On Saturday, officers were called to a home in Wheatley. When they arrived, they found damage to the home.
Police were told that a man had sent threatening text messages and was responsible for the damage.
Officers later arrested the suspected man, charging him with uttering threats, mischief over $5,000, and failing to comply with a release order.

Suspected Break-and-Enter leads to multiple charges
A 46-year-old man has been charged with reportedly breaking into a commercial building in Wallaceburg.
According to police, the incident happened on Friday evening. Investigators said video surveillance footage from the property showed a man forcing his way into a storage container and taking several items.
Officers later found the man believed to be on the video at a home in Wallaceburg. He reportedly fled on foot, but was later found and arrested.
The man has since been charged with breaking and entering, theft under $5,000, and possession of property obtained by crime.

Investigators seek b and e suspect
Chatham-Kent Crime Stoppers is asking for tips about a break-in at a Wallaceburg home that saw about $39,000 worth of property stolen.
It reportedly happened early Friday morning in the area of James Street.
The suspect(s) are said to have entered the home while the homeowner was sleeping and stole a TV, a camera, and a 2024 red Chevrolet Malibu.
According to Crime Stoppers, the property has been recovered, but the suspect is still at large.
