This school year, parents and guardians have a new option to track their child's school bus and get notifications about delays and cancellations.
CLASS Shared School Services, which caters to families with children in schools in the Lambton-Kent District School Board (LKDSB) and the St. Clair Catholic District School Board (SCCDSB), will launch the Chipmunk app this September.
Chipmunk will provide direct notifications about inclement weather cancellations or delays. It will also allow users to track their child's school bus and see where it travels.
Parents and guardians can track multiple children from a single account, as long as they ride a CLASS bus.
According to the organization, the app is private and secure, with access coming through parent portal credentials.
