Impaired driver nabbed in Wallaceburg
A 66-year-old Wallaceburg man is in trouble with the law after police followed up on a report of a possible impaired driver Thursday afternoon.
Chatham-Kent police said the report they received at around 4:45 p.m. Thursday said that a vehicle was driving erratically on the roadway and had pulled over into a marina.
Officers said they tracked down the vehicle and found the driver, who was the only person inside the vehicle at the time.
The 66-year-old Wallaceburg man showed signs of impairment, so he was taken to police headquarters in Chatham for further testing and registered 150 mg of alcohol in 100 mL of blood during a breath test.
As a result, he was charged with impaired driving and was later released with a future court date.
