Workplace Safety and Insurance Board (WSIB) workers will soon be heading back to work.
The Ontario Compensation Employees Union (OCEU) announced on Sunday that its members have accepted the tentative collective agreement that was negotiated by the bargaining committee.
"I am proud of my coworkers and the strength of our union; we are a critical safety net for Ontario workers, and Ontarians spoke up, sending thousands of messages to the WSIB leadership," said Harry Goslin, President of OCEU. "Together, we were able to secure the best possible outcome and successfully pushed back against the employer’s attacks on union seniority rights."
Details of the agreement have not been made public at this time.
OCEU noted the roughly 3,600 members who've been striking since May 22, 2025, will return to work on Monday.
