CK SummerFest, pool schedules all set to make a big splash

SummerFest is underway across Chatham-Kent with plenty of free community events for everyone to enjoy.

"We are thrilled to offer free active community programs to the residents of Chatham-Kent again this summer," said Chatham-Kent Manager of Recreation Services and Community Engagement Amy Wadsworth. "We hope that families take advantage of these opportunities to get outside, have fun, and connect with their community."

Wadsworth said the CK Recreation Play Rangers will be visiting events across Chatham-Kent starting on Saturday with unique and engaging equipment and toys that will ensure fun for all ages.

CK Recreation will also be offering free recreational swims at outdoor and indoor municipal pools across Chatham-Kent starting on Sunday.

CK Recreation will be hosting beach days in July and August at Erieau and Mitchell's Bay. Families are invited to Mitchell's Bay on Saturdays and Sundays from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. for a day of fun in the sun with lots of beach toys and activities for kids.

In Erieau, the focus will be on games for youth and adults every Sunday from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.

"CK Rec staff will be on hand to help run activities and ensure everyone has a great time," Wadsworth said.
