A Chatham woman faces assault charges after police alleged she assaulted a Chatham man while he slept.
Chatham-Kent police said officers were dispatched to a home in Chatham Tuesday night for a domestic dispute following reports that the residence was being damaged.
The 57-year-old woman faces charges of assault with a weapon, break and enter, and mischief.
The 47-year-old victim suffered minor injuries, according to police.

Chatham Theft
Several charges have been laid against a Chatham-Kent woman following a theft at a Chatham retail store.
Chatham-Kent police alleged a 30-year-old woman took several items from the store on Wellington Street West in Chatham Tuesday evening without paying for them.
Police also said the suspect was bound by release conditions to not attend the store.
