Woman charged after break and enter, assault in Ridgetown

Chatham-Kent police have charged a 45-year-old woman for allegedly assaulting a man in Ridgetown.

Just before 9 p.m. on Monday, officers received a report of a break and enter at a home in the community.

When they arrived, they found a 49-year-old man with minor injuries to his face.

He told officers that a woman broke into his home through a window, confronted him, hit him in the face, and then left.

Police later made an arrest. A 45-year-old woman is charged with breaking and entering to commit an assault.

She was released from custody with a future court date.
